ANZMAG 2008 and satellites - was held at the fabulous Couran Cove resort on South Stradbroke Island on December 6-11 2008, and was a great success with around 150 registrants and a swag of excellent talks [find out more]. The meeting followed the fourth installment of the advanced course in Multidimensional NMR in Solution, which featured Profs Art Palmer (New York), Steffen Glaser (Munich) and Wolfgang Bermel (Bruker) as overseas lecturers, and was organized as usual by Gottfried Otting. The course was perhaps the best yet, with 45 attendees from many different laboratories.

Two additional satellite meetings were held: (i) A two-day course describing the use of the CCPN software for the analysis and interpretation of multidimensional NMR spectra and (ii) a solid-state NMR workshop. Both were held at the University of Queensland.

Visit by Peter Hore
Prof. Peter Hore of Oxford was the ANZMAG 2007 Lecturer. He came to Australia during April and, in a whirlwind national tour, gave talks at nearly all of the major centres around Australia.

Peter spoke on different aspects of his work, including dynamic nuclear polarisation and protein NMR , and, as expected, gave an excellent series of entertaining and informative talks that were widely enjoyed.

ANZMAG 2006
The ANZMAG 2006 meeting was held at the Murramarang Resort situated on the NSW south coast. In this fabulous location, we had a great talks from both international and local speakers, covering a range of magnetic resonance methods and applications. We also had great weather, which served as an excellent opportunity for everyone to get out and engage in the additional discussions that are the additional bonus of meetings like this. We would like to thank our international speakers (Geoffrey Bodenhausen, Claudio Dalvit, Jorg Karger, Malcolm Levitt, Wolfgang Lubitz, Paul Matthews, David Neuhaus andGerhard Wagner) for coming to Australia to speak at the meeting. A full report of the meeting (plus photos!) is available.
