Bruker and Varian will hold Users Meetings immediately prior to ANZMAG 2008. See below for an outline of these meetings and details on how to register.


Bruker Users Meeting

The Bruker Biospin Users Meeting will be held at the same site as the ANZMAG 2008 meeting (i.e., Couran Cove Resort) on Saturday 6th December PM and Sunday 7th December AM. The program will include scientific and technical presentations from Bruker. Speakers will include Drs Tony Keller (new developments), Wolfgang Bermel (techniques), Mike Engelhardt (software and service), and Stefan Steuernagel (solids) from the German Rheinstetten facility, as well as Dr Rainer Kuermerle (techniques, probes) from the Swiss Fallanden facility. We also expect to have one or more scientific presentations from Keynote Speakers for the ANZMAG meeting.

The meeting will start around 4 pm on Saturday to allow those arriving on the 2 pm ferry to check in first. A BBQ will be held on the Saturday evening. The second session will start at 9 am Sunday morning and finish around lunchtime. When registering for ANZMAG 2008, you should indicate that you need accommodation starting on the Saturday night.

The Bruker representatives from Europe participating in the the Users Meeting and ANZMAG 2008 may have some time before or after these meetings to visit customer laboratories. Varian Users Meeting

The Varian Users Meeting will be held on the morning of Sunday, 7th December just prior to commencement of the ANZMAG 2008 meeting at Couran Cove. Varian Speakers will present scientific and technical presentations covering all aspects of Varian's new NMR products and accessories. Included will be information pertaining to the development of unique probes and innovative new pulse sequence techniques. Features of the latest software releases will be demonstrated as will be advances in solids NMR techniques. The meeting will start at 9 am Sunday morning and finish around lunchtime.
