Getting there
Couran Cove Island Resort is located on the pristine South Stradbroke Island and is only 40 minutes by fast catamaran from the Couran Cove Island Resort Departure Terminal at Hope Island Marina. Hope Island Marina is 60 km south of Brisbane.
The road trip from either Brisbane or Gold Coast airport to the Ferry Departure Terminal averages 45 minutes. [map]. The Resort provides 24 hour secure car parking at the Ferry Departure Terminal for a cost of $5.00 per day.
Alternatively, the Couran Cove Shuttle service provides transfer from both Brisbane and Gold Coast airports to the Ferry Departure Terminal [timetable], and this can be arranged by contacting Nancy Lee.
The ferry costs $32.00 return for adults & $20.00 return for children (3-12 years), which should be paid to the resort along with your accommodation and meals package. Note that the return trip for conference delegates is not included in the conference registration fee.

Depart Hope Harbour Terminal:
10:30am, 2:00pm, 4:00pm, 6:00pm (& at 8:00pm on Fri/Sat only)
Depart Couran Cove Island Resort:
12:00pm, 3:00pm, 5:00pm, 7:00pm (& at 9:00pm on Fri/Sat only)
Note: the shuttle/ferry to Couran Cove will be coordinated by the resort based on your individual arrival/departure times. These arrangements must therefore be made once your travel itineraries are final but not before 15th of October 2008.
